Starfish Cakes & Bakes

The welcome was friendly and the service efficient. The cafe is clean and the decor bright and inviting. What we had was well prepared and served. However, what we really wanted was scones, cakes & coffee. The coffee was good! But there were no scones and the tray bakes were mostly based on chocolate (lots of chocolate) and there were no cakes! My bacon& egg roll was just fine, but I really wanted a scone!

What an amazing wee find. It’s 10 min from my house and I’ll definitely be going back. We chose the breakfast, which is on till 3pm and a wee 5 piece was £5.95 with toast I read that all the food comes from local places. Gloagburn eggs, Lindsay’s meats. I chose eggs, sausage and black pudding and it was so nicely cooked and presented. Sauses are provided in a wee individual pot but tasted like a brand not cheap. The food was amazing, eggs so Nicky cooked and nice and funny. I cleared the plate. We also tried some tray bake and cookie ( which was warm as just made) and also delicious. My only negative point was that I wasn’t too keen on the decor of the place but it’s not going to stop me going back. Hope the next time I go I can try lunch items

Eventually managed to pay it a visit. Well worth the wait. Excellent value and lovely food. Extremely friendly owners who even told me their suppliers of the excellent black pudding they have on their menu. Caramel shortbread was superb as was the doggy sausage they gave our Labrador for a treat.

Had the Scottish breakfast and hot chocolate. Considering it was first day of business the food was spot on, hot chocolate was a bit powdery but tasted fine over all put it down to getting used to new machines. Friend had the granola and a coffee, no complaints. Atmosphere was great very welcoming and friendly. No long waits or any issues. I expected a few teething problems but was pleasantly surprised. Scottish breakfast was lovely! Well priced and good quality food and drinks. Will definitely be a regular here. We'll done to both of you and good luck on your new venture, I'd say you've got it spot on so far!

Always good service from Linda, Andy & the team. Everything we have ordered including coffees, tray bakes, cakes & lunch has been amazing! Also dog friendly to bring our four legged friends!

In all honesty, this place opening up has been a game changer! Morning rolls are excellent and their early riser offer before 8:30am is worth it! Coffees are brilliant, dirty chai latte is my go to and it is made perfectly! I have to say... the perth deli sandwich is my go to lunch, amazing doesn't do it justice. I genuinely love this sandwich, the flavours work so well, the gherkins, the mustard, the pastrami, exquisite. To top it all off the staff are amazing, friendly and informative about all their ingredients and where the source them from. Overall it's a lovely place to visit and grab a bite to eat! (The decor is a bit much though) (Joking about the decor, looks great)
